OpenScience

What is OpenScience ?

OpenScience is an approach that aims to make scientific research more transparent, collaborative, and accessible to everyone. Rooted in the principles of the scientific community, OpenScience focuses on the following aspects:

  1. Open access: Advocating for free and unrestricted access to research articles and scholarly publications, allowing researchers, students, and the public to benefit from scientific knowledge without the hindrance of traditional paywalls.

  2. Open data: Encouraging the sharing of raw research data and metadata to foster more effective collaboration, verify results, and build upon existing work. This accelerates scientific progress and ensures research findings are reproducible and reliable.

  3. Open peer review: Promoting the use of transparent peer-review processes, which encourage public disclosure of reviewers' identities and evaluations to improve review quality and hold reviewers accountable for their assessments.

  4. Open collaboration: Supporting collaboration among researchers across various disciplines, institutions, and countries, promoting the exchange of ideas, resources, and expertise to advance scientific knowledge and innovation.

MetaEngineers Hub's OpenScience

The OpenScience Platform will be developed to seamlessly integrate with all previous applications and platforms. Users can use the workspace to create their publications or work independently. Upon completion, they have the option to share their work through the OpenShowcasing and the Metaverse.

When utilizing the OpenScience Platform, Users can submit their work for review using the Platform's protocols and, if desired, publish their work publicly, directly linking it to the other Platforms. Any publishing that occurs is linked directly to the Users's Digital Identity, registering the time and date of the publication. This streamlined approach promotes collaboration, innovation, and transparency across all Platforms and ensures that Users maintain control over their intellectual property.
